Zahra is a Family Lawyer and Mediator. After doing her undergraduate degree at McGill University, Zahra worked for several years doing advocacy work in the area of human rights around the world.
She graduated from the University of Ottawa Common Law Program. She is also trained in Collaborative Family Law, Family Mediation and Parenting Coordination and she works with families to resolve their issues out of Court.
Zahra is an active in the legal community. She is currently a member of the executive of the Ontario Bar Association Family Law Section and ADR Section. She is also a member of the Advocate’s Society’s 10+ Committee.
In addition, Zahra is a member of the OBA Women Lawyers Forum and is a member of the National Steering Committee of the National Association of Women and the Law based out of Ottawa.
Zahra has made Canada her home since 1993 and has driven across Canada two times. She particularly enjoys Canadian winters with her two young boys. She is able to speak Urdu/Hindi and is currently learning French and piano.
